Types of Welding Gloves

Different types of welding can affect welders differently, so welding gloves can be broadly classified into two categories based on the type of welding:

-General welding gloves. The usual type of welding, where a pair of pliers is used to hold the welding rod, produces a large amount of high temperature spatter. In this working environment, the need to wear welding gloves are mostly double-layered with a lining, and the length is more than 3cm, to better protect hands.

-Argon arc welding gloves (TIG). This kind of welding temperature is high, strong radiation, less spatter, welding wire is relatively thin. tig is thinner, the length is not too long, wear feel relatively good.

In the process of using welding gloves, the following points should be noted:

1. According to the workplace, choose the right welding gloves. The size of the glove should be appropriate, too loose to use inflexible and easy to fall off, too tight will impede blood flow, easy to produce fatigue.

2. Wear welding gloves to have sufficient protection, choose the right material and function, can effectively provide protection for hands. Pay attention to the regular replacement of gloves to ensure its protective function. If the use period is exceeded, the wearer's hands and skin may be harmed.

3. Always check the gloves for damage and abrasion, especially the finger seams. For welding gloves can use the inflation method to check.
