Safety Helmet

Labor protection articles refer to articles worn by workers in order to avoid or reduce accidental injuries and occupational hazards during production and labor. A safety helmet is a kind of labor protection product. It is necessary to wear a helmet correctly. Read on for more information.

The correct wearing standard of safety helmet

1. Do not wear the helmet crookedly, and do not wear the brim behind your head. Otherwise, the protective effect of the helmet against impact will be reduced.

2. Before wearing a helmet, adjust the rear adjustment strap of the cap to a suitable position according to the shape of your head. Then fasten the elastic strap inside the cap securely. The elasticity of the cushioning pad is adjusted by the strap. The vertical distance between the top of the head and the top of the cap body is generally between 25-50mm, at least not less than 32mm. In this way, it can be ensured that the cap body has enough space for buffering when it is subjected to an impact. It is also beneficial to the ventilation between the head and the cap body at ordinary times.

3. It is strictly forbidden to use a helmet with only the chin strap connected to the cap shell. That is a helmet without a cushion layer in the cap.

4. The lower tie of the helmet must be buckled under the jaw and fastened securely. The tightness should be moderate. In this way, it will not be blown off by the strong wind, or touched off by other obstacles. Or the helmet will fall off due to the back and forth swing of the head.

5. Since the helmet will gradually be damaged during use, it should be checked regularly. Check for cracks, dents, and wear. If any abnormality is found, it should be replaced immediately, and it is not allowed to continue to use it. Any helmet that has received intermediate or cracks, whether damaged or not, should be scrapped.

6. The safety helmet should be kept clean and tidy when using it. Do not touch the fire source. Do not paint arbitrarily. Do not sit on a stool to prevent loss. If it is lost or damaged, it must be reissued or replaced immediately. The old helmet must be returned when reissued or replaced.

7. Construction personnel are not allowed to take off the helmet or use it as a cushion during on-site operations.

8. When working at heights or working indoors with electricity, wear a helmet carefully and turn on the electric alarm switch to prevent electric shock.

9. Most of the safety helmets are made of high-density and low-pressure polyethylene plastics. Due to their hardening and degrading properties, they are not easy to be exposed to the sun for a long time.
